Porton Advanced and Neoantigen Therapeutics Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance Phase II Program for mRNA Personalized Cancer Vaccines

Collaborations | Nov 04, 2026

Suzhou, China ,October 29, 2026 – Porton Advanced, a leading cell and gene therapy CDMO in China, today announced a strategic partnership with Neoantigen Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing AI-enabled personalized neoantigen vaccines and immunotherapies.

Under the agreement, Porton Advanced will provide end-to-end CDMO services from mRNA drug substance to LNP-formulated drug product for the Phase II clinical program of an mRNA personalized cancer vaccine (PCV), supporting rapid clinical advancement and compliant delivery.

As PCV Advances into Clinical Validation, Single-Patient Batch Manufacturing Becomes Critical

Each batch of an mRNA personalized cancer vaccine is patient-specific, resulting in many small batches. Each single-patient batch must also be manufactured within a timeline compatible with clinical dosing schedules. This requires robust processes, batch-to-batch consistency and reliable delivery from the CDMO.

Neoantigen Therapeutics has a diversified pipeline. Its independently developed R01 injection is a personalized tumor neoantigen mRNA vaccine. It uses AI-based neoantigen screening and LNP delivery technologies to provide patient-specific treatment for patients with malignant solid tumors at high risk of recurrence after curative-intent resection, including pancreatic cancer, liver cancer, biliary tract malignancies, gastric cancer and colorectal cancer. R01 is currently in Phase I clinical study. In previous investigator-initiated trials (IITs), more than 100 patients have been treated, and early data have shown favorable immunogenicity and early signals of survival benefit. This strategic collaboration will focus on advancing the Phase II clinical program for R01.

Porton Advanced has established a track record in clinical supply manufacturing for personalized cancer vaccines. Ongoing projects span more than 60 patients across China, the United States and Europe, demonstrating the ability to run multiple projects in parallel across regions. Porton Advanced offers rapid turnaround for mRNA-LNP drug product, with end-to-end delivery from sequence synthesis to batch release with COA in as little as 6 weeks. IIT samples can be delivered in 10 weeks, and IND toxicology batches in 4 months, providing a predictable CMC schedule for clinical enrollment planning.

Andrew Chen, Deputy General Manager of Porton Pharma Solutions and CEO of Porton Advanced, said: “Neoantigen Therapeutics has extensive experience in AI-based neoantigen prediction and clinical translation of personalized vaccines. For personalized cancer vaccines, the CMC challenge is ensuring batch-to-batch consistency and reliable timelines for every patient-specific batch. Porton Advanced will apply the experience, process capabilities and quality systems gained from previous mRNA projects to the manufacturing and delivery of mRNA-LNP drug product for Neoantigen Therapeutics’ Phase II program. We look forward to accelerating the clinical development of this vaccine and bringing better medicines to patients sooner.”

Dr. Fan Mo, General Manager of Neoantigen Therapeutics, said: “Clinical translation of personalized neoantigen vaccines requires precise neoantigen selection and product design, as well as high-quality, efficient manufacturing and delivery. Porton Advanced’s experience in PCV projects and end-to-end mRNA-LNP capabilities complement our AI-based neoantigen screening platform and clinical database. We believe this collaboration will accelerate the clinical development of our mRNA vaccine pipeline and bring personalized immunotherapy to patients sooner.”

Porton Advanced remains committed to advancing its cell and gene therapy CDMO capabilities. Through its global end-to-end services, the company will continue to accelerate innovative therapies from bench to clinic and bring better medicines to patients sooner.

About Neoantigen Therapeutics

Hangzhou Neoantigen Therapeutics Co., Ltd was founded in 2016. The company focuses on developing precision immunotherapies based on tumor neoantigens through artificial intelligence and is one of the earliest teams globally engaged in neoantigen-related product development. Neoantigen Therapeutics has established pipelines including neoantigen-targeted peptide vaccines and mRNA vaccines. Since 2017, it has conducted 17 IIT clinical studies of personalized peptide vaccines, mRNA vaccines and personalized T cells, and has built the largest clinical database of neoantigen vaccines in China. Its personalized tumor neoantigen peptide vaccine P01 for injection is the first personalized therapeutic to receive IND approvals from both the NMPA and the U.S. FDA, and the first personalized therapeutic in China to enter Phase II clinical development.
